PAST EVENT: Jubilee Gate

June 2022 – The Platinum Jubilee

The hall commissioned a new field gate designed and made by Dan Taylor of The Iron Tree for the Platinum Jubilee.

It was declared open on 5 June 2022 and the event was celebrated with a glass of champagne in the hall afterwards.

The hall has a tradition of marking royal links. There is a datestone and inscription marking its construction at the time of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897. The building was expanded in 1937 for the coronation year of George VI and the carpark wall has a Silver Jubilee datestone for 1977 as it was built that year.
